At the core of this installation lies the rhythm of breath, intertwined with the movement of kinetic "petals." The synchronization of meaning, music, visuals, and light creates a therapeutic, healing space where the viewer is invited to discover their own unique breathing code.

Breath is explored as the essence of life and its cyclical nature.
In every inhale — the inspiration to live.
In every exhale — the readiness to die.
In–Breath in. Out–Breath out
The installation consists of:
  • A kinetic wall with "petals."
  • An LED screen, mirroring the diamond-shaped form of the kinetic wall.
  • 4 lighting fixtures, adding visual depth.
  • 20 LED sticks.

The setup allows for multiple configurations. In its original form, the structure features 50 "petals," though both their number and composition can be adjusted to suit the space and the desired effect.

The kinetic elements are controlled via TouchDesigner and a DMX console.
Technology
When the installation is not running its programmed scenario, it switches to an interactive mode, responding to the presence of viewers.

A RealSense 3D depth camera uses laser scanning to generate a depth map, which is transformed into a point cloud. After artistic processing, this data is displayed on the screen as a moving "cloud" that mirrors the viewer’s silhouette in real time. The same depth map also controls the kinetic "petals," opening only those positioned directly in front of a person.
Interactivity
Quad Sound
The installation features immersive quadraphonic sound with four speakers placed along the perimeter of the space. This setup creates the sensation of being at the very center of the musical canvas.
This kinetic installation is a proprietary development by LYM, designed and engineered entirely in-house. From the triangular "petal" design and electronics assembly to prototype testing and serial production — every stage is handled by LYM’s own engineering team. These conceptual technological solutions, such as kinetic installations, are also ready for scaling and adaptation for production at partner facilities.

Kinetic “Petals”
The installation sets a breathing rhythm — yet each person decides how they want to breathe. We invite the viewer to synchronize with the technology only to discover and feel their rhythm. To find their unique breath code.

  • Do you know what you breathe..?
  • What does your breath look like..?
  • In what rhythm do you live..?
  • Can you keep your focus within a state?
The Breath Code
Philosophy
The life cycle of the installation lasts 11.11 minutes. It consists of four stages, each reflecting a different human breathing pattern.

1. In
The birth of all things. From the first thought to the first action. Breath awakens — light, shallow.

2. Breath in
You are in the hands of God — and God is in yours. By controlling your breath, you control the world. Breath: "wave."

3. Out
Who am I? All answers are within you. Every decision is a challenge to yourself. Breath: "staircase."

4. Breath out
Breathe the way you want to live. Breathe fully — and be ready to die at every moment. Breath: "square."
